A New Year Thing I Made for You

Not the most creative title, I grant you, but it’s been a long couple of weeks.

I don’t have anything particularly insightful to say at the moment, but I do have something I want to share.

I started off just wanting to make you guys a 2015 calendar as a wee gift, but it sort of blew up into this 26 page creature with a mind of its own.  I thought about offering it for sale on my Etsy shop since it had taken so much (enjoyable) work, but then I decided that it started as a gift, and it would be a gift – something to play with during the transition from one year to another, hopefully a little different from all the usual resolution-setting business that’s either too hardcore or too woo-woo.  If nothing else, the calendar did turn out prettily, and you might want to print it out and hang it up.

Thus, without further ado:

  1. I’m a bit late to the party, but I wanted to say thanks for your Magic Words New Year’s gift. It looks like something I can actually manage, and I’m in the process of doing so.
I have to admit that for a moment I found even the idea of choosing My Word daunting, but your framing of it was so easy and gentle, that I copied that attitude and went ahead and did it. 🙂 I tend to be more tactile than visual, so may I suggest that in addition to the boards and music, one could choose a piece of jewelry to wear regularly as a reminder of the Word, or a small tumbled (inexpensive) gemstone to keep in a pocket.
Again, just …. thanks. A bunch.

  2. I just wanted to say thanks for this–it’s just what I needed for the end of this year and the start of the next. I’ve been trying to figure out how to effectively use the word for the year idea, and this sorted me right out. You do good work!

  3. I’m absolutely in love with this unexpected bit of downloadable yumminess! Thank you so, so much!

BTW, what font did you use for the paragraph text? I like it.
